Summer Vacation: Day 1

Day 1 of Summer Vacation 2013~

What a strange feeling. I wake up without educational obligations. No assignment is due, to paper to write, and certainly no subjects to feign interest.

Yes, lately I have been quite anti-friendly with my education. It is less of a friend and more of a duty I have to myself, my parents, my future, and most certainly my God. I will be able to say that I started and finished a college education, which feels more like three college educations because I have successfully studied Music, Theatre, and English. Despite all worries and pains, I am still gravitating toward the same ol' same ol' interests I have had since I was young.

I awoke with the same struggle to get up and going. Why is it that I am not excited for the day when I KNOW there will be something out there if I ask, seek, and knock (metaphorically or literally... take your pick)? I have come to the conclusion that I have "tried too hard" at life, and now I am burned out. My goal now is to rest, be patient, and take care of today, however that looks. Ultimately, God will bring all things into his perfect timing, and my goal is to follow his tempo. I am not the center of the universe. Go figure.

Today, the list of "to-dos" that got DONE were
-Stretch and Core
-Grocery Shopping at the $1 Tree.
-Laundry
-Get and Give a Massage
-Go to a Music and Worship Final
-Book my airline ticket for Ireland
-Practice Music with Michael
-Lesson Plan For Gymboree

What made the day fun was
-Writing a bunch of Haikus on the back of my paper.
-Being lighting coordinator for Sean's worship service.
-Eating lunch with Sean, Claire, and Jeremy.
-Falling Asleep in Jeremy's car after reading a bit of Revelation
-Getting a call from Daniel
-Getting a call from my mom.
-Going to Tutti Frutti with Sean and Keith
-Hanging out with Sean and Emilie
-Hip-Hop dancing with Michael after rehearsal

Yes... it has been a wonderful day.
I wonder what the future holds... <3 p="">
